Current members

The Board has been initially founded on March 3rd 2003 by Telecom Italia and Motorola, as a follow-up of their collaboration in the LEAP project (IST-1999-10211).
The Board is open and welcomes all companies and organizations that have a concrete business interest in the exploitation of JADE and that commit to its development and promotion.
The JADE Board lists now five members: Telecom Italia, Motorola, Whitestein Technologies AG, Profactor GmbH, and France Telecom R&D.

Whitestein Technologies AG joined the JADE Board on 29th October 2003 in the perspective of consolidating and strengthening its expertise in building agent-based applications.
The Multiagent Group of Profactor joined the Board in April 2004; the group envisions the extensive exploitation of agent technology and the JADE agent platform for collaborative adaptive eBusiness solutions.
The D2I Laboratory (Dialogue and Intelligent Intermediations) of France Telecom joined the Board in May 2004. The group envisions the development of new components within the JADE middleware, which will make easier and simpler the design of agents intrinsically complying with the FIPA-ACL semantics and improve the support of the FIPA-SL content language, particularly at the reasoning and semantic levels.

The JADE-Board is presided by Fabio Bellifemine from Telecom Italia.
